EMPHASIS: Patrol Employees Give From Their Hearts

Colonel Ron Replogle, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, commends the agency's employees for their service to the communities in which they live. All across the state, all throughout the year, Patrol employees are involved in their communities through youth programs, nonprofit organizations, and faith-based groups. During the holidays, various components of the Patrol adopt special projects for the Christmas season. Employees have participated in "Shop with a Cop" and Operation T.O.Y.S. programs, provided donations to the Salvation Army, held memorial toy drives honoring fallen officers, and adopted local families for the holidays. The 580 employees working at General Headquarters in Jefferson City, held a food drive and delivered 3,898 pounds of food to the Samaritan Center on Friday, December 14. An employee at the center indicated the Patrol is its largest donor for the food pantry.

"Throughout the state, Patrol employees give from the heart," said Colonel Replogle. "I am honored to represent the employees of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. We are in tough economic times yet, they continually give. The employees truly live by the Patrol motto of service and protection."
