EMPHASIS: Troop F To Participate In 20-Mile Trooper Project

Captain Greg D. Kindle, commanding officer of Troop F, Jefferson City, announces that Troop F will participate in a program designed to provide maximum manpower during the travel days of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The program, known as 20-Mile Trooper project, is designed to provide a trooper at least every 20 miles on designated highways. The designated highway in Troop F is Interstate 70. The dates of the program are November 21, 2012, and November 25, 2012. Troopers will be targeting all traffic violations, and will be especially vigilant regarding speed, careless and imprudent driving, and aggressive driving violations. Troopers will be observing a zero tolerance policy for motorists who are stopped for a traffic violation and are not wearing a seat belt. The Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves from all types of hazardous drivers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint.
