EMPHASIS: Results Of Driving While Intoxicated Saturation


Captain Robert L. Powell, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted on January 9, 2010 in Saline County.
Four officers concentrated their efforts on all major highways in Saline County. As a result of the eight-hour operation, two people were arrested for driving while intoxicated. In addition, six citations and 34 warnings were issued.
Captain Powell stated, “Our officers are doing their part to make the roadways safe for the motoring public. Please remember to do your part, do not drink and drive. If you are going to drink alcohol, have a plan. Make sure that plan includes a designated driver.
