EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces March Special Enforcement Operations

Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces that a DWI saturation will be conducted in Phelps County, and a sobriety checkpoint will be conducted in Dent County sometime during the month of March 2014.
Captain Kenley stated, “Individuals arrested for DWI sometimes try to give excuses for why they choose to drink and drive. The fact is that there is never a legitimate reason to put your life or the life of another in peril. Let’s work together to make our roads safer by pledging to never drive a vehicle while impaired and encouraging others to do the same.”
The Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life and Wear It!!!
