EMPHASIS: Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested

On November 7, 2007 at 3:17 p.m., Troop H received a call from the Holt County Sheriff’s Department, advising that the Dollar General Store in Mound City had been robbed at gunpoint. The suspects were described as two black males and two black females, occupying a red Jeep. Several minutes later, a trooper spotted the Jeep traveling northbound on Interstate 29 and stopped the vehicle at the 101-mile marker in Atchison County. As the trooper arrested the driver, a male passenger got out, pulled a knife and started toward the trooper. The trooper grabbed the subject’s hand and pushed him into the side of the Jeep. He was taken into custody and an ambulance was called to treat him for an injury received during the altercation. All four suspects who were from the Kansas City, Missouri area were arrested. The arrests included one juvenile.
