EMPHASIS: New Trooper Assigned To Bates County


Captain Vincent J. Ellis, commanding officer of Troop A, announces the assignment of a new trooper in Bates County. Trooper Manuel D. Miranda was assigned to Zone 14, Bates County, effective July 13, 2007.
Trooper Miranda graduated from the Patrol Academy on July 13, 2007. He began his training on January 8, 2007. Academy training covers all facets of law enforcement activities.
Trooper Miranda is a graduate of Lockhart High School in Lockhart, Texas. Trooper Miranda served in the United States Marine Corps and is a former trooper for the state of Texas. He is married to the former Ilda Prieto and they have four children.
