EMPHASIS: Troop A Officers To Participate In Click It Or Ticket Campaign

Captain Eric T. Olson, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, announces that the Patrol will once again participate with the Missouri Department of Transportation's Division of Highway Safety and join other law enforcement agencies' efforts on February 20, 2015, for a "Click It or Ticket" mobilization. The primary goal is to reduce the number of injury and fatal traffic crashes which will be accomplished through the aggressive enforcement of traffic laws. Troopers will have a zero tolerance policy regarding the enforcement of seat belt compliance and the utilization of child restraint systems.
"The Click It or Ticket enforcement program, and education regarding the use of seat belts are extremely important," said Captain Olson. "Please wear your seat belt and utilize child restraint seat when transporting children. There is no doubt many lives could be saved if everyone took a few seconds prior to driving, or riding in a vehicle, to buckle up." Buckle Up and Arrive Alive. In support of "The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths," the Patrol encourages motorist to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Watercraft operators should ensure that everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life And Wear It!!
