EMPHASIS: New Troopers Assigned To Troop E


Captain George E. Ridens, commanding officer of Troop E, Poplar Bluff, is pleased to announce the assignment of four new troopers to Southeast Missouri. The new troopers are members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 97th Recruit Class that graduated from the Patrol Academy on December 20, 2013. The new troopers will report for duty on January 6, 2014.

Trooper Daniel J. Dalton, of Edina, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 1, which serves the citizens of Butler and Ripley counties. Trooper Dalton graduated from Kirksville High School, and holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri. Trooper Dalton is married to Ashley (Pankey) Dalton. Trooper Dalton’s field training officer will be Trooper Blaine M. Loring.

Trooper Jerry W. Hunter, of Marshall, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 2, which serves the citizens of Butler and Ripley counties. Trooper Hunter graduated from Marshall Senior High School and holds an associate’s of arts degree from State Fair Community College in Sedalia, Missouri. Trooper Hunter is married to Stephanie (Lutjen) Hunter and they have two children. Trooper Hunter’s field training officer will be Corporal James A. Wilson.

Trooper Joshua A. Moore, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 2, which serves the citizens of Butler and Ripley counties. Trooper Moore graduated from Neelyville High School and is currently a staff sergeant in the Missouri National Guard. Trooper Moore’s field training officer will be Corporal Michael G. Slaughter.

Trooper Blake D. Wunderlich, of Altenburg, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 7, which serves the citizens of Mississippi, New Madrid and Scott counties. Trooper Wunderlich graduated from Perryville High School and holds an associate’s of arts degree from Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Missouri. Trooper Wunderlich’s field training officer will be Trooper Cameron M. Heath.
