EMPHASIS: Results Of Hazardous Moving Operation In Clinton County

Captain James E. McDonald, commanding officer Troop H, St. Joseph, releases the following information:

A total of 37 arrests and 63 warnings were issued in conjunction with a hazardous moving operation in Clinton County on September 7, 2013. The operation was conducted on Interstate 35 in Clinton County. Totals from this enforcement effort include:

24--Citations for speed
4--Citations for failure to wear seat belt
3--Citations for non-moving violation
1--Citation for no insurance
1--Arrest for minor in possession
4--Misdemeanor drug arrests

Captain McDonald says, “The result of this operation is an example of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s commitment to keeping our roadways safe through strict enforcement.”

In support of "The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths," the Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Watercraft operators should ensure that everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life And Wear It!!
