EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces July Special Enforcement Projects

Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces that during the month of July, troopers assigned to Troop I will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in Laclede County and a DWI saturation in Crawford County.
Captain Kenley stated, “Each year, many motorists are arrested for driving while intoxicated as a result of either a saturation patrol or a sobriety checkpoint. If just one life is saved or a needless traffic crash is prevented, then the time and effort our troopers put into these enforcement operations is well worth every minute.”
The Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life and Wear It!!!
