EMPHASIS: Criminal Enforcement Operation Results


On June 1, 2008, Troop H began a five-day criminal enforcement operation on Interstates 29 and 35 designed to focus on criminal activity upon the interstate system. Four troopers and four commercial vehicle officers were assigned to the detail that was conducted in all of the counties with interstate highways.

Troopers made two felony drug arrests, six misdemeanor drug arrests, and one criminal misdemeanor arrest. Troopers also issued six summonses for speeding, one for following too close, seven for commercial vehicle violations, three for non-moving violations, and three for driver’s license violations. In addition, troopers wrote 317 warnings to motorists.
A total of 118 commercial vehicles and 92 non-commercial vehicles were stopped during the operation.
