EMPHASIS: Troop B Officers To Participate In Quarterly DWI Enforcement Program


Captain John W. Elliott, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces that Troop B officers will participate in a special DWI enforcement program in Adair County, from March 14, 2008 through March 16, 2008. During this enforcement operation, Troop B officers will join other local law enforcement agencies focusing their attention on removing intoxicated drivers from Missouri’s roadways and making travel safer for the citizens of this state. This program, funded by the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Division of Highway Safety, is the first of similar programs to be held on a quarterly basis in 2008 throughout the state of Missouri.
“Drunk drivers are a danger to motorists on Missouri highways,” said Captain Elliott. “Troop B officers will be working closely with other local law enforcement agencies conducting enforcement programs including sobriety checkpoints in the upcoming year to help make our highways safer.”
