EMPHASIS: Results Of Sobriety Saturation In St. Louis County

Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted on Saturday, March 17, 2012, in St. Louis County. Four Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the enforcement operation during the eight-hour project.
As a result of the enforcement program, a total of 22 arrests were made and 34 warnings were issued. Of the 22 arrests, two persons were arrested for driving while intoxicated. Twelve summonses for speed, one for no seat belt, one for a driver’s license violation, and four hazardous moving violations were issued. Two individuals were arrested on misdemeanor warrants.
“Sobriety saturations are very important in making our highways a safer place to travel,” stated Captain Johnson. “Troop C officers will be conducting various special enforcement operations throughout 2012 with a goal of reducing traffic crashes and saving lives.”
