EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces Promotion


Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces that effective December 1, 2012, Trooper Lance D. DeClue was promoted to the rank of corporal.
On September 29, 2002, DeClue was appointed to the Missouri State Water Patrol Academy. Upon graduating, he was stationed in Morgan County and assigned to patrol the Lake of the Ozarks. In April 2005, he transferred to Crawford County. He remained there following the merger of the Missouri State Water Patrol to within the ranks of the Missouri State Highway Patrol on January 1, 2011. DeClue will continue with his current assignment within marine operations of Troop I as a K-9 officer.
DeClue is a native of Caledonia, Missouri, and a 1995 graduate of Valley R-6 High School in Caledonia. Following graduation, he joined the U.S. Coast Guard and served until 1999. In 2000, DeClue graduated from the Law Enforcement Training Academy at Mississippi Delta Community College in Morehead, MS. Corporal DeClue is married to Jamie (Clasen) and they have one child, Dakota.
