EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces Promotions

Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces the following promotions that were effective February 1, 2012.

Corporal Jason H. Glendenning was promoted to the rank of sergeant and designated the Zone Commander of Zone 8, Laclede County. Glendenning is a Lebanon native, and a 1989 graduate of Lebanon High School. He attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, and also earned credit while in the Highway Patrol Academy, which resulted in his earning an associate's degree in criminal justice in 1995. Following his graduation from the Patrol Academy in 1995, he was assigned to Troop D, Springfield. Glendenning was promoted to the rank of corporal in 2000. However, in April 2004, he took a voluntary reduction in rank in order to transfer to Troop I, Laclede County. On July 24, 2005, he was again promoted to the rank of corporal and designated the assistant zone commander of Zone 8, Laclede County. Sergeant Glendenning is married to Amanda (Coffman), and they have four children, Ty, Jenna, Quincey, and Jax.

Trooper Jason E. Riggs was promoted to the rank of corporal and designated the assistant zone commander of Zone 8, Laclede County. Riggs is a Osage Beach, Missouri, native, and a 1989 graduate of Camdenton High School. Riggs attended Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, where he earned a bachelor's of arts degree in criminal justice in 1993. Riggs served as a Missouri park ranger prior to his appointment to the Patrol on January 1, 1996. Upon his graduation from the Patrol Academy, Riggs was assigned to Troop I, Laclede County. Corporal Riggs is married to Stefanie (Amer), and they have two children, Bailey and Keeley.
