EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces Promotion


Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces that effective March 1, 2012, Trooper Steven H. Crabtree was promoted to the rank of corporal. He was designated assistant zone commander of Zone 4, which patrols Pulaski and western Maries counties.
Crabtree is a Pulaski County native, and a 1991 graduate of Laquey High School. Following his graduation from high school, Crabtree served in the U.S. Marine Corps from June 1991 until November 1996, and currently serves in the Missouri Army National Guard, where he holds the rank of staff sergeant.
Crabtree was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol on January 1, 1997. Upon graduating from the Academy, he was assigned to Troop I and stationed in Pulaski County.
Cpl. Crabtree and his wife, Tara (McKelvey), have four children, Steven, Nicholas, Emily, and Gavin.
