EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces Promotions

Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces the following promotions that were effective June 1, 2011.

Trooper Greg A. Weddle was promoted to the rank of corporal and designated as the assistant zone commander of Zone 9, which patrols Crawford County. Corporal Weddle is a native of Lebanon, Missouri and a 1993 graduate of Lebanon High School. Corporal Weddle was appointed to the Highway Patrol on March 15, 2000 and upon his graduation from the academy, was assigned to Troop F and stationed in Camdenton. On April 15, 2006, Cpl. Weddle transferred to Troop I and was stationed in Laclede County. Cpl. Weddle and his wife, Lisa, have three sons, Hayden, Gage and Granger.

Trooper Steven W. Cunningham was promoted to the rank of corporal and designated as the assistant zone commander of Zone 2, which patrols Phelps and eastern Maries counties. Cpl. Cunningham is a native of Conway, Missouri and a 1988 graduate of Conway High School. Cpl. Cunningham was appointed to the Highway Patrol on October 20, 2002 and upon his graduation from the academy was assigned to Troop G and stationed in Willow Springs. On March 1, 2010, Cpl. Cunningham transferred to Troop I and was stationed in Laclede County. Cpl. Cunningham and his wife, Lori, have three children Brandon, Aaron and BreAnn.
