EMPHASIS: Kenosha, Wisconsin, Man Arrested On Drug Charge In Marion County

On January 15, 2008, at approximately 6:38 p.m., a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper stopped a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix, on U.S. Highway 61 at Taylor, Missouri, for a traffic violation. As the trooper was speaking with the driver, an odor of marijuana was detected coming from the inside of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted and nine Ecstasy tablets were found. The driver, Archie L. Heath, 22, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance and driving while suspended. Heath was transported to the Marion County Jail where he is currently being held on a $25,000 bond.
The charges for which Heath was arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
