EMPHASIS: Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. To Be Conducted In Franklin County

Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. (Alcohol Related Response Enforcement Strike Team). Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. will take place in Franklin County on Saturday, December 22, 2012, beginning at 7 p.m. The operation will end at 3 a.m. on Sunday, December 23, 2012. The purpose of Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. is to increase the motoring public’s awareness of the potential hazards of operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition.

Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. will utilize six Missouri state troopers to conduct this project. The six troopers have been chosen because of their dedication and leadership in removing intoxicated drivers from Missouri roadways. Troopers continually work to maximize enforcement efforts in deterring impaired driving, to remove intoxicated drivers from Missouri roadways, and to reduce fatalities and injuries through vigorous enforcement of Missouri traffic laws.

The Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves from all types of hazardous drivers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Click It 4 Life!
