EMPHASIS: Missouri Highway Patrol To Step Up Seat Belt Enforcement

Captain Gregory D. Kindle, commanding officer of Troop F, Jefferson City, announces that Troop F troopers will be joining statewide efforts on April 15, 2013 for an aggressive “Click It Or Ticket” mobilization to get more motorists and occupants to buckle up.

Despite evidence proving the benefits of wearing a seat belt, nearly one in four Missouri motorists are still not making it click. Preliminary 2012 statistics show 64% of individuals killed on Missouri’s roadways were not restrained.

The Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life and Wear It!!!
