EMPHASIS: Troop C To Conduct Community Alliance Program

Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, St. Louis, announces that the Patrol will be conducting a Community Alliance Program beginning on Tuesday, October 2, 2007, and concluding with a graduation ceremony on November 20, 2007. The mission of the Community Alliance Program is to provide personal interaction between area citizens and the Patrol. The program is designed to allow the public to learn about the Patrol’s purpose and role within the law enforcement community. The Highway Patrol is seeking responsible citizens, community leaders, professionals, and business associates who are willing to commit to a program that provides a unique opportunity unlike any other.
Classes will meet on Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Troop C Headquarters, 599 S. Mason Road, St. Louis Missouri. Each evening will cover a different aspect of the Patrol’s everyday responsibilities. These sessions will cover traffic stops, accident investigation, firearms familiarization, SWAT operations, and many other aspects of the Patrol. At the conclusion of the eight-week program, participants will receive a plaque acknowledging his or her successful completion and participation.
The Patrol is accepting applicants for the Community Alliance Program through September 25, 2007. There is no cost to participate in the program, and placement into the program is based on a first come first serve basis. Any parties interested in participating in the program can contact Sergeant Al Nothum at 314/340-4062 or Corporal Julie Scerine at 314/340-4028
