EMPHASIS: Results Of DWI Saturation In Buchanan County


Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H, in St. Joseph, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation held on August 26, 2011, in Buchanan County.
Troopers arrested two motorists for driving while intoxicated during the saturation. Troopers also issued two summonses for failed to yield violations, two stop sign violations, one speed violation, eight seat belt violations, seven non-moving violations, five uninsured motorist violations, three driver’s license violations, and two other hazardous moving violations. Troopers made nine felony arrests during the saturation, including two drug arrests, four warrant arrests, two other felony arrests, and one of the intoxicated drivers was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated. The officers also made nine misdemeanor arrests, including two drug arrests, four warrant arrests, and three other criminal misdemeanor arrests.
Captain Robinson stated, “The Missouri State Highway Patrol's priority is arresting intoxicated drivers to make the highways a safer place. Troopers also made several criminal arrests while working the saturation.”
