EMPHASIS: Troop B Officers To Conduct DWI Saturations During The Month Of December 2010

Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces during the month of December 2010, Troop B officers will be conducting DWI saturations throughout the Troop B area. During these saturations, extra officers will be assigned to patrol specific roadways with a focus of reducing fatalities and serious injuries caused by impaired drivers.
"During the month of December, many people are participating in a wide variety of holiday celebrations, some of which may include alcohol," stated Captain Wilt. "Impaired drivers cause serious traffic crashes. If drinking alcohol is a part of your plans, be responsible and choose a sober designated driver."
