EMPHASIS: New Troopers Assigned To Troop A
Captain Robert L. Powell, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, is pleased to announce the assignment of two new troopers to Troop A. The new troopers were members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 91st Recruit Class, which began training on February 1, 2010, and graduated on July 23, 2010. The new troopers and their field training officers will report to Troop A Headquarters on August 9, 2010, when they will begin their new assignments.
Trooper Brandon M. Parker will be assigned to Zone 15, which serves Henry County. He is a native of Harrison, AR, and a graduate of Spirit Lake High School, Spirit Lake, Iowa. Tpr. Parker is also a graduate of Missouri State University, where he earned a bachelor’s of science degree in criminology and sociology. Upon his graduation from the Academy, Tpr. Parker received the Academic Award for his academic achievement. Prior to his appointment to the Patrol he was a full-time student.
Trooper Trenton L. Rhea will be assigned to Zone 15, which serves Henry County. He is a native of Hays, KS, and a graduate of Oakley High School, in Oakley, KS. Tpr. Rhea is also a graduate of Central Missouri University, where he earned a bachelor’s of science degree in history. He is married to Leah (Reid) and they have three children, Autumn, 9, Joanna, 2, and Abigail, 1. Prior to his commission Tpr. Rhea actively served in the United States Army in Ft. Leavenworth, KS, and is currently on reserve status. Upon his graduation from the Academy, Tpr. Rhea received the Superintendent’s Award for overall achievement.
