EMPHASIS: Troop C: Sergeant Greg K. Leftwich Promoted To Lieutenant

Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the promotion of Sergeant Greg K. Leftwich to lieutenant effective February 1, 2015. Leftwich was appointed to the Patrol on January 1, 1990 as a member of the 62nd Recruit Class. Upon graduation, he was assigned to Troop B, Zone 9, serving Marion and Ralls counties, and resided in Palmyra, MO. In January 1996, he was promoted to the rank of corporal and assigned as the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 9. In October 1999, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant and assigned as the zone supervisor of Zone 8, continuing to serve the citizens of Marion and Ralls counties. On February 1, 2015, he was promoted to lieutenant and assigned to Troop C, Weldon Spring.

Prior to entering the Patrol, Leftwich attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, in Columbia, MO, and Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO. He attended Mineral Area College and received an associate's degree in administration of justice. Lieutenant Leftwich and his wife, Jennifer (Brown), have three children, Bailey attends Truman State University, Taylor attends Culver-Stockton College, and Gage, a high school student.
