EMPHASIS: Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. To Be Conducted In St. Francois County
Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer Troop C, St. Louis, announces “Operation A.R.R.E.S.T” (Alcohol Related Response Enforcement Strike Team). Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. will take place in St. Francois County on Saturday, March 13, 2010. The operation will commence at 7 p.m. and end at 3 a.m. on Sunday, March 14, 2010.
Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. will utilize six Missouri state troopers to conduct this project. The six troopers have been chosen because of their dedication and leadership in removing intoxicated drivers from Missouri roadways.
The purpose of Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. is to increase the motoring public’s awareness of the potential hazards of operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. Troopers continually work to maximize enforcement efforts in deterring impaired driving, remove intoxicated drivers from Missouri roadways, and to reduce fatalities and injuries through vigorous enforcement of Missouri traffic laws.
