EMPHASIS: Captain Duane L. Robinson Announces Promotions


Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H, St. Joseph, is pleased to announce the following promotions effective November 1, 2012:
Corporal Corey B. Root has been promoted to the rank of sergeant and designated as zone supervisor of Zone 5, St. Joseph. Sergeant Root is a native of St. Joseph and a 1993 graduate of Central High School. After high school, Root attended Missouri Western State University. In 1997, he earned a bachelor's of science in criminal justice. Root was appointed to the Patrol on July 1, 1997, as a member of the 74th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop H, Caldwell and Clinton counties. In 2002, he transferred to the Troop H criminal enforcement team. In October 2003, Root was promoted to the rank of corporal and transferred to Buchanan County. Sergeant Root and his wife, Sara (Siegal), have three children.
Trooper Dustin L. Lyle has been promoted to the rank of corporal and designated as assistant zone supervisor of Zone 6, St. Joseph. Corporal Lyle is a Republic, MO, native and a 2002 graduate of Republic High School. Following graduation, he attended Missouri State University. He later earned an associate's of science in criminal justice from Mineral Area College. Lyle was appointed to the Patrol on January 7, 2007, as a member of the 86th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop H, Andrew and Buchanan counties. Corporal Lyle and his wife, Brooke (Davis), have two children.
