EMPHASIS: Announcement Of Boating While Intoxicated Saturation

Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H in St. Joseph, announces that sometime during the month of August, a boating while intoxicated saturation will be held in Holt County. Two troopers will be assigned to the eight-hour operation. The focus of this project is to detect impaired boaters and watch for hazardous boating violations that contribute to boating crashes.
Captain Robinson stated, “Operating a vessel while intoxicated puts everyone on the water at risk. One bad decision can ruin a lifetime of memories, please stay sober while on the water."
The Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life and Wear It!!!
