EMPHASIS: Troop H Releases Special Operation Totals


Captain James E. McDonald, commanding officer of Troop H, releases the following information:

A total of 50 arrests and 49 warnings were issued in conjunction with a Click It Or Ticket It seat belt operation in Andrew County on May 23, 2014. The operation included all roadways in Andrew County. Totals from this enforcement effort include:

14--speed summonses
1--careless and imprudent driving summons
14--seat belt summonses
7--non-moving offense summonses
3--no driver’s license summonses
1--driving while suspended summons
2--no insurance summonses
1--drug arrest
7--misdemeanor warrant arrests

Captain McDonald says, “Motorists traveling on Missouri’s roadways can expect that members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol will be striving to keep our roadways safe through strict enforcement. Always pay attention to the task of driving, and please wear your seat belt at all times.”

In support of "The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths," the Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Watercraft operators should ensure that everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life And Wear It!!
