EMPHASIS: Patrol Seeks Information On Fatal Traffic Crash
On Saturday, August 20, 2011, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to investigate a traffic crash on Route PP, 15 miles east of Gainesville, MO, in Ozark County. Upon arrival, the trooper determined that a homemade trailer had separated from its towing vehicle and struck another vehicle head-on, killing the male driver and seriously injuring his wife. The driver of the vehicle pulling the trailer then left the scene. The alleged driver of the towing vehicle has been identified as Jeff G. Lundry, 42, of Brandsville, Missouri. Warrants have been issued for Lundry in Ozark County for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is asking anyone who might have any information about the traffic crash or the whereabouts of Lundry to contact the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G Headquarters immediately at (417) 469-3121.
The charges contained in the warrant are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
