EMPHASIS: Drug-Related Arrests In The Troop F Area


Twenty suspects were arrested in an afternoon raid on May 27, 2014. The raid was conducted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Cole County Sheriff’s Department, Jefferson City Police Department, and the Columbia Police Department. The suspects were arrested for distribution of controlled substances, including heroin, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, ecstasy, and marijuana, along with other narcotics-related crimes. The arrests and charges are the result of a lengthy undercover investigation conducted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control and the Mustang Drug Task Force.

As of 9 a.m. on May 28, 2014, the following individuals have been taken into custody:

Joey B. Anderson Jr., 28, of Jefferson City, Missouri, charged with two counts of distribution of a controlled substance; bond set at $250,000.

Nicholas Sterling Anglen, 20, of Jefferson City, Missouri, charged with three counts of distribution of a controlled substance; bond set at $20,000.

Bradley S. Baldwin, 30, Jefferson City, Missouri, charged with three counts of distribution of a controlled substance; bond set at $50,000.

Matthew W. Brownfield, 22, of Jefferson City, Missouri, charged with five counts of distribution of a controlled substance; bond set at $250,000.

Terrian D. Davis, 20, of Jefferson City, Missouri, charged with one count of distribution of a controlled substance; bond set at $100,000.

Henry William Evans, 25, Jefferson City, Missouri, charged with two counts of distribution of a controlled substance; bond set at $250,000.

Gilbert Garcia Sr., 55, of Columbia, Missouri, charged with seven counts of distribution of a controlled substance; bond set at $100,000.

Ernie Lastarza Gillespie Jr., 36, Jefferson City, Missouri, charged with four counts of distribution of a controlled substance; bond set at $75,000.

John H. Holsman, 36, Fulton, Missouri, charged with two counts of distribution of a controlled substance; bond set at $50,000.

David C. Humberg, 57, of Jefferson City, Missouri, charged with two counts of distribution of a controlled substance; bond set at $20,000.

Donald Edwin Jacobs Jr., 51, Jefferson City, Missouri, charged with one count of distribution of a controlled substance; bond set at $25,000.

Hannah N. Jarvis, 24, Jefferson City, Missouri, charged with one count of distribution of a controlled substance; bond set at $20,000.

Catherine Jean Martin, 52, of Jefferson City, Missouri, charged with four counts of distribution of a controlled substance; bond set at $100,000.

Richard Howard Martin, 56, of Jefferson City, Missouri, charged with two counts of distribution of a controlled substance; bond set at $50,000.

Kenneth A. Minor, 38, of Jefferson City, Missouri, charged with four counts of distribution of a controlled substance; bond set at $20,000.

Melvin K. Nunley Jr., 28, of Jefferson City, Missouri, charged with six counts of distribution of a controlled substance; bond set at $150,000.

Travion Devonte Reams, 21, of Jefferson City, Missouri, charged with two counts of distribution of a controlled substance; bond set at $250,000.

Deseray Sharlene Shafer, 26, of Jefferson City, Missouri, charged with one count of distribution of a controlled substance; bond set at $250,000.

Therron Sloan Jr., 47, of Jefferson City, Missouri, charged with two counts of distribution of a controlled substance; bond set at $150,000.

Richard C. Turner Jr., 35, of Jefferson City, Missouri, charged with three counts of distribution of a controlled substance; held without bond.


Additional indictments and arrests are anticipated throughout the Troop F area. Anyone having information concerning illegal drug activity is urged to contact the Missouri State Highway Patrol at (888) 823-6384.

The above charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
