EMPHASIS: Captain Ridens Announces Promotions


Captain George E. Ridens, commanding officer of Troop E, Poplar Bluff, is pleased to announce the following promotions.

Corporal Keith A. Almond has been promoted to the rank of sergeant and designated the zone supervisor of Zone 13, which serves the citizens of Madison and Iron Counties. Sergeant Almond was appointed to the Patrol on January 16, 2001, as a member of the 78th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the academy, Almond was assigned to Stoddard County. In 2007, Almond was promoted to corporal and transferred to Zone 3, which serves the citizens of Wayne County. In 2011, Almond transferred to Zone 7, which serves the citizens of Scott, Mississippi, and New Madrid Counties. Sergeant Almond is married to Shelly (Mize) and they have four children: Tanner, Bailey, Sydney, and Rylan.

Trooper David W. Crank has been promoted to the rank of corporal and will remain in his current assignment as a canine officer. Corporal Crank was appointed to the Patrol on October 20, 2002, as a member of the 80th Recruit Class.

Trooper Dewey K. Heppe has been promoted to the rank of corporal and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 6, which serves the citizens of Scott, Mississippi, and New Madrid Counties. Corporal Heppe was appointed to the Patrol on January 1, 1997, as a member of the 73rd Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the academy, Heppe was assigned to Zone 5, which serves the citizens of Cape Girardeau and Bollinger Counties. In 2001, Heppe transferred to Zone 7, which serves the citizens of Scott, Mississippi, and New Madrid Counties. Corporal Heppe has one child, Rebecca.

Trooper Matt L. Keeney has been promoted to the rank of corporal and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 7, which serves the citizens of Scott, Mississippi, and New Madrid Counties. Corporal Keeney was appointed to the Patrol on July 1, 1996, as a member of the 72nd Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the academy, Keeney was assigned to Zone 5, which serves the citizens of Cape Girardeau and Bollinger Counties.

Trooper Lonnie R. Lejeune has been promoted to rank of corporal and will remain in his current assignment as a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Trooper. Corporal Lejeune was appointed to the Patrol on January 1, 1995, as a member of the 69th recruit Class. Upon graduating from the academy, Lejeune was assigned to Zone 7, which serves the citizens of Scott, Mississippi, and New Madrid Counties. Corporal Lejeune is married to Jeannie (Gossett) and they have two children: Bradley Coleman, and Lonnie D. Lejeune.
