EMPHASIS: Results Of Sobriety Saturation In St. Charles County

Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted on Saturday, March 19, 2011, in St. Charles County. Four Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the enforcement operation during the eight-hour project.
As a result of the enforcement program, a total of 24 arrests were made and 24 warnings were issued. Of the 24 arrests, three subjects were arrested for DWI, six for speed, one for no seat belt, one for no proof of insurance, four for non-moving violations, and six for other hazardous moving violations. Three individuals were arrested on misdemeanor warrants.
“Sobriety saturations are very important in making our highways a safer place to travel,” stated Captain Johnson. “Troop C officers will be conducting various special enforcement operations throughout 2011 with a goal of reducing traffic crashes and saving lives.”
