EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces August Enforcement Operations


Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces that two special enforcement projects will be conducted during the month of August within the six-county Troop I area. These include a DWI saturation in Phelps County and a DWI sobriety checkpoint, which will be held in Crawford County.
Captain Kenley stated, “In 2009, three out of every 10 fatal car crashes in the state of Missouri were alcohol related. In an effort to lower this staggering statistic the Missouri State Highway Patrol will continue with its vigorous enforcement and educational programs that target impaired drivers. Please do you part by making the decision to never drink and drive and encouraging others to do the same.”
