EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces Results Of DWI Saturation



Captain James W. Remillard, commanding officer of Troop I, announces the results of a DWI saturation patrol conducted in Laclede County from 7 p.m., October 10, 2014, until 3 a.m., October 11, 2014.
During the enforcement operation, troopers made arrests or issued citations for 17 various criminal and traffic violations, while also issuing 39 warnings. The following is a breakdown of the arrests and citations:

DWI: 1
Speed: 1
Failure To Wear A Seat Belt: 10
Child Restraint Violation: 1
Non-Moving Traffic Offenses: 1
Driver’s License Violations: 1
Misdemeanor Arrests: 2

Captain Remillard stated, “To report a suspected impaired driver or a highway emergency, please call the Patrol’s emergency hotline, 1-800-525-5555 or * 55 on your cellular phone. With your help, we can prevent a tragic traffic crash.”

In support of "The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths," the Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint.
