EMPHASIS: Announcement Of Sobriety Checkpoint & Driving While Intoxicated Saturation

Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H, St Joseph, announces that sometime during the month of July, Troop H will conduct a sobriety checkpoint and a driving while intoxicated saturation. Both the sobriety checkpoint and the saturation will be conducted in Clinton County.
The checkpoint is a static operation on a specific highway that is designed to check every driver to ensure they are sober. The driving while intoxicated saturation is a mobile operation in which troopers saturate a specific highway in an effort to arrest intoxicated drivers.
Captain Robinson stated, "Summer is a time for outdoor activities and parties. If your plans include alcohol, please designate a sober driver." To report impaired drivers, motorists can use the Patrol’s emergency telephone numbers. They are 1-800-525-5555 or cellular *55.
The Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life and Wear It!!!
