EMPHASIS: Special Olympics T-Shirt Sales

Employees from the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop G will be selling “Torch Run” T-shirts to raise money to support Special Olympics Missouri. The T-shirts will be on sale at the Mountain Grove Wal-Mart Supercenter on Saturday, April 25, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., with all proceeds going to benefit Special Olympics athletes from Wright County.

Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with mental retardation or closely related developmental disabilities. The culmination of the fund-raising efforts comes each year when law enforcement officers carry the “Flame of Hope” torch across the state to its final destination, the Special Olympics Summer Games in Springfield, Missouri.
