Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted on Friday, April 30, 2010, in Lincoln County. Four Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the enforcement operation during the eight-hour project.

As a result of the enforcement program, 41 vehicles were stopped. Of those 41 vehicles, 29 arrests were made and 36 warnings were issued. Of the 29 arrests, two subjects were arrested for driving while intoxicated. Seven arrests were made for speed violations, five arrests were made for other hazardous moving and non-moving violations, one arrest was made for following too close and one was made for a driver license violation. Six arrests were made for seat belt violations.

In addition, five arrests were made for misdemeanor drug violations and two arrests were made for minors in possession of alcohol.

“This particular operation in the Lincoln area had good results,” stated Captain Johnson. “The troopers assigned to this detail worked hard, which is evident in the types of arrests that were made."
