EMPHASIS: Marion County Resident Arrested On Sexual Charges

On March 9, 2012, Randall S. Shepard, 40, of Hannibal, Missouri, was arrested on a three count Marion County warrant for felony statutory rape in the second degree, felony statutory sodomy in the second degree, and felony sexual contact with a student while on public school property.
During an investigation conducted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control, it was determined that Shepard had inappropriate sexual relations with a 16-year-old female juvenile Palmyra High School student.
Shepard was taken to the Marion County Jail where he is currently being held on a $100,000 cash only bond.
The charges for which Shepard was arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
