EMPHASIS: DWI Saturations To Be Held In Troop B During The Month Of November 2015

Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces that sometime during the month of November 2015, Troop B officers will conduct two DWI enforcement saturations. One saturation will be conducted throughout the Troop B area, and the second saturation will be held in Randolph County. During the enforcement operations, troopers will focus their attention on selected highways with a goal of detecting impaired drivers, hazardous moving violations, speed, and other traffic violations that cause traffic crashes.
"The Patrol is committed to removing impaired drivers from our highways," stated Captain Wilt. "I would like to urge all motorists to choose a sober designated driver if drinking alcohol is a part of your plans."

Approximately 63 percent of Missouri fatal crash victims who are required to be restrained are NOT at the time of the traffic crash. The Patrol urges motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint.
