EMPHASIS: Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. To Be Conducted In St. Charles/Warren Counties


Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces “Operation A.R.R.E.S.T.” (Alcohol Related Response Enforcement Strike Team). Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. will take place in St. Charles and Warren counties on Saturday, August 27, 2011. The operation will commence at 7 p.m. and end at 3 a.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2011.

Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. will utilize five Missouri state troopers to conduct this project. The five troopers have been chosen because of their dedication and leadership in removing intoxicated drivers from Missouri roadways.

The purpose of Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. is to increase the motoring public’s awareness of the potential hazards of operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition, to maximize enforcement efforts in deterring impaired driving, remove intoxicated drivers from Missouri roadways, and to reduce fatalities and injuries through vigorous enforcement of Missouri traffic laws.
