EMPHASIS: Brother And Sister Electrocuted At Lake Of The Ozarks

At approximately 12:05 p.m., two juveniles were electrocuted while swimming near a private dock at the 6.5 mile marker in the Gravois Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks. The 13 year old girl and her 8 year old brother, who are natives of Ashland, MO, were shocked by a yet undetermined source of electricity. Several adults were able to remove the children from the water and start cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) before emergency medical services arrived. They were transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, MO, where they were pronounced deceased.

The investigation is being conducted by troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol Marine Operations Division and the Division of Drug and Crime Control.
