EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces September Enforcement Project

Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces that sometime during the month of September, troopers assigned to Troop I will be involved in a special enforcement operation specifically targeting those drivers who are operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. During this operation, troopers will patrol those highways in Pulaski County, where statistics have shown a larger number of crashes and arrests involving impaired driving have occurred in the past.
“Too many people are seriously injured or killed by drunk drivers on Missouri’s streets and highways every year,” said Capt. Kenley. “I hope that these saturation patrols may serve as another important tool in fighting this serious problem.”
