EMPHASIS: Troop B Officers To Conduct DWI Saturations In Lewis, Monroe, And Randolph Counties During The Month Of June 2015

Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces that sometime during the month of June 2015, Troop B officers will conduct DWI enforcement saturations in Lewis, Randolph, and Monroe counties. During these enforcement operations, troopers will focus their attention on selected highways with a goal of detecting impaired drivers, hazardous moving violations, speed, and other traffic violations that cause traffic crashes.
"The Patrol is committed to removing intoxicated drivers from our highways," stated Captain Wilt. "I would like to urge all motorists to choose a sober designated driver if drinking alcohol is a part of your plans."
In support of "The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths," the Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Watercraft operators should ensure that everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life And Wear It!!
