EMPHASIS: Methamphetamine Lab Seizure in Jasper County
On March 13, 2008, at approximately 7:45 p.m., troopers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to 18096 Newton Road in Jasper County, Missouri, regarding a drug investigation. A consent search of the residence revealed a working methamphetamine lab.
In addition to the methamphetamine lab, officers seized a small amount of liquid methamphetamine in the residence. Shawn D. Meyer, 35, of Diamond, Missouri, and Melissa Lowry, 32, of Diamond, Missouri, were arrested at the residence and incarcerated at the Jasper County Jail, pending the filing of state charges.
The charges for which Shawn D. Meyer and Melissa Lowry were arrested are mere accusations and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented in a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
