EMPHASIS: DWI Saturation Results In Franklin County

Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted on July 2, 2011, in Franklin County. Four Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the enforcement operation during the eight-hour project.

As a result of the enforcement program, a total of 24 vehicles were stopped, with a total of 14 arrests being made, and 11 warnings issued. Of those, six summonses were issued for speed, one summons was issued for a driver license violation, three summonses were issued for other moving and non-moving violations, and three summonses were issued for no seat belt or child restraint violations. In addition, one subject was arrested for DWI.

“Sobriety saturations continue to be effective in removing intoxicated drivers from our roadways,” stated Captain Johnson. “Troop C officers will continue to conduct various special enforcement operations throughout the end of summer and the rest of the year, with a goal of reducing traffic crashes and saving lives on Missouri roadways.”
