EMPHASIS: Troop G Officers To Participate In "Operation Dry Water"

Captain Mark G. Inman, commanding officer of Troop G, Willow Springs, announces during the month of June, Troop G troopers will be participating in 'Operation Dry Water.' This national campaign provides high enforcement activity throughout the state's waterways which focuses on boating under the influence. The goal of this project is to reduce boating injury and fatality crashes through the aggressive enforcement of impaired operation and other hazardous violations.

Captain Inman says, 'We are fortunate to have such beautiful lakes and streams to enjoy with our friends and family. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is dedicated to making your outing as safe and enjoyable as possible. Nobody wants to share our waterways with a drunk, drugged, or otherwise unsafe boat operator.'

In support of 'The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths,' the Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Watercraft operators should ensure that everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life And Wear It!!
