EMPHASIS: New Trooper Assigned To St. Clair/Cedar Counties


Captain Randy Beydler, commanding officer, Troop D, Springfield, has announced the assignment of Trooper Bradley L. Crockett, a member of the 87th Recruit class, to Zone 9, St. Clair/Cedar Counties.

On January 7, 2008, Trooper Crockett started recruit training at the Missouri State Highway Patrol Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, Missouri. He received 27 weeks of rigorous training; studying topics such as motor vehicle law, crash investigation, first aid, firearms, public relations, criminal law, and physical conditioning. On July 11, 2008, Trooper Crockett was commissioned during a graduation ceremony on the south lawn of Missouri’s Capitol. Beginning July 28, 2008, Crockett will work with his field-training officer, Trooper Mark Mason, for approximately three months, at which point he will assume full zone responsibilities.

Trooper Crockett was born in Lamar, Missouri and graduated from Lamar High School. He attended Pittsburg State University, in Pittsburg, Kansas, studying criminal justice, and was previously employed with a health care provider in Pittsburg.
