EMPHASIS: Troop G Releases Sobriety Checkpoint Results


Captain Dwayne F. Isringhausen, commanding officer of Troop G, releases the following information:

A total of 32 arrests and 63 warnings were issued in conjunction with a sobriety checkpoint conducted in Howell County on May 4, 2013, near the intersection of U.S. Highway 160 and Missouri Route 101. Totals from this checkpoint include:

3-- misdemeanor DWI arrests
6-- seat belt summonses
1-- other hazardous moving violation summons
5-- non-moving summonses
2-- no driver’s license summonses
2-- driving while suspended/driving while revoked summonses
3-- uninsured motorist summonses
4-- misdemeanor drug arrests
2-- misdemeanor warrant arrests
2 -- other misdemeanor arrests-criminal offenses
2-- felony drug arrests

Captain Isringhausen says, “The motoring public has been very supportive of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s efforts to make our roads safer through the use of sobriety checkpoints and special enforcement operations. Nobody wants to share the road with a drunk, drugged, or otherwise unsafe driver. Please do your part by driving safely and soberly.”

The Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life and Wear It!
