EMPHASIS: Troop G Releases Checkpoint Results


Captain Billy E. Chadwick, commanding officer of Troop G, releases the following information:

A total of 143 arrests and 76 warnings were issued in conjunction with hazardous vehicle conditions/safety checkpoints conducted in Shannon County. The checkpoints were held on April 15, 16, 17, and 18, near the intersections of Missouri Route 19 and Missouri Route A, and Missouri Route 19 and Missouri Route D. Totals from these checkpoints include:

1 -- DWI arrest
63 -- seat belt summonses
9 -- driver’s license summonses
3 -- non-moving summonses
1 -- other hazardous moving violation summons
6 -- no-insurance summonses
16 -- felony drug arrests
1 -- felony warrant arrest
36 -- misdemeanor drug arrests
1 -- misdemeanor warrant arrest
4 -- other misdemeanor criminal offense arrests
2 -- minor-in-possession summonses

Captain Chadwick said, “Our goal in the Missouri State Highway Patrol is to ensure the safety of those who travel Missouri’s roadways. Please help us reach our goal by being an alert, conscientious, and sober driver. ”
